Description
A small wooden box with marquetry inlays inside and out, except on the bottom, that measures approximately 5 by 6 by 4 inches. It is called the Daisy Box. It can be closed with a decorative metal clasp. Inside the lid is a chromolithographed label advertising Rice's Popular Flower Seeds, produced at the Cambridge Valley Seed Gardens in Cambridge New York. This was lithographed in New York City by J. Ottman Lith., signed lower right. Inside the sides of the lid are details of the seeds that the box contains with prices. The entire contents cost .20. There is also a list of the seed varieties and other advertising.The box is in good condition with only minor wear. The label is in very good condition except for a little damage on the bottom right where a small section has been removed near the hinge. For details, best to see the attached photos.
