    Description

    "From the Well Known Cambridge Valley Seed Gardens of Cambridge, NY."  Dark oak, finger jointed box. The majority of Rice's small boxes measure 5 3/4 x 4 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches. This one is no exception. These boxes were used as countertop displays, full of packets for purchasing in mercantiles. The latch is in excellent working condition. Out of all the small Rice's boxes, this is one of my favorite labels. This specific label can still be found; however, it is getting to be a lot harder to find. There was a time when I used to say that I would never sell any of my Jerome B. Rice collection. It is quite extensive. Never say never! If you are a fan of Jerome B. Rice, I have plenty of related items to sell. I have seen many of these smaller boxes for sale online at extremely high, and what I consider to be exaggerated prices.
    This is an auction with no reserve.
    Good luck! One of the nails on the inside hinge has been replaced. The hinge is sturdy and holds the lid open very well. The lower corners of the label are slightly torn. The tag is on the box for my identification purposes only. It can easily be removed.
