More from the booklet:
"In 1952 S.T. Dupont introduced the Diamond Head pattern, a combination of engraved vertical and horizontal lines. The depth and brilliancy of the metal was the painstaking result of specialized gold and silver metalwork A hand-crafted luxury product, the pyramid-based design gave rise to contemporary exclusive objects. The intricate, sophisticated reflections accentuated the Diamond Head's strong and masculine lines.
The story continues, and now S.T. Dupont has created a witty composition of the Diamond Head pattern and genuine diamonds to produce a limited edition of exceptional pieces. S.T. Dupont has chosen to work with the most precious and exclusive of materials to reinterpret and highlight one of the bands strongest visual codes...
"'Diamond Drops', the second version of this limited edition, features a succession of vertical lines ending in Diamond Head lines, set with diamonds where certain lines join up. This platinum version includes a Ligne 2 and Gatsby pocket lighter, a large Olympio fountain pen, an Olympio rollerball and a Tradition belt with a crocodile-skin strap. Each item is set with around twenty diamonds. The graphic contrast between the Diamond Head pattern and the glint of platinum creates a play of light accentuated by the ice-cold transparency of real diamonds. The pocket lighters are numbered out of 1952, the pens out of 1952 and the belts out of 952. The Figure '52' is a reminder of the year 1952 when the Diamond Head pattern was first created in S.T. Dupont's workshops."
